2014 (Junior Season): Saw action against Saint Francis (2/9).
2013 (Sophomore Season): Saw playing time for the Buckeyes vs. Lees-McRae (3/30) … had a kill and three digs in the win.
2012 (Freshman Season; at George Mason): Played in four matches … had a block assist in the Patriots[apos] 3-0 win over Princeton (3/10).
Prior to George Mason: Four-year starter for coach Takuya Naito at Cheyenne Mountain High School … three-time All-State honoree … compiled over 900 kills and 400 blocks in his career … also played for the Front Range Volleyball Club coached by Brett Ammerman and John Archer.
Personal: Son of Doug and Nonie Beal … has a younger sister, Maddie … father, Doug, coached the Ohio State men[apos]s volleyball team from 1972-74 and was named head coach of the USA Men[apos]s National team in 1977 … Doug also guided Team USA to its first-ever gold medal at the 1984 Olympics … Doug is currently the CEO of USA Volleyball … he was inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 1985 … majoring in communication.
