2016 (Sophomore Season): Played in 15 matches, including the NCAA Semifinals vs. UCLA (5/5) … toed the service line 10 times in win over UC Irvine (3/11), burning the Anteaters for an ace … totaled 27 serves on the season, committing just three errors … recorded a dig and assist against IPFW (2/4) … earned Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Academic All-Big Ten, MIVA Academic All-Conference and OSU Scholar-Athlete distinction.
2015 (Freshman Season): Did not compete … earned Academic All-Big Ten, MIVA Academic All-Conference and OSU Scholar-Athlete honors.
2014 (Redshirt Season): Earned MIVA Academic All-Conference honors … practiced with team … an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.
Prior to Ohio State: Three-year letterwinner for coach Phil O’Keefe at Fox Chapel Area High School … 2013 All-WPIAL first team honoree … two-time all-section first team award winner (2012, 2013) … 2012 All-WPIAL second team … two-time team captain … also a two-year letterwinner in soccer … Fox Chapel Scholar Athlete … finished with high academic honors 2010-2013 … also played for the Pittsburgh Volleyball Club coached by Dan Long … member of the U-15 team that finished fourth at nationals in 2010.
Personal: Son of Mitchell Tublin and Mary Davitt … has two brothers, Daniel and Andrew … Daniel played volleyball at Stanford University … majoring in biomedical engineering.
