Brian Armelli joined the SASSO team in Fall of 2024 as the Senior Academic Counselor for the Buckeyes' Men's and Women's Swim & Dive and Men's and Women's Fencing teams.
Throughout his tenure in the field of student-athlete academic support, he has assisted individuals from diverse backgrounds in maximizing their academic performance while simultaneously achieving their athletic goals. Prior to arriving at Ohio State, Brian served as an Academic Coordinator for the Women's Swim and Dive, Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field, and freshmen Football teams at the University of Akron. Previous to Akron, Brian served as an Academic Advisor for the Men's and Women's Swim & Dive and the Men's Soccer team and Missouri State University.
Originally from Mentor, Ohio, Brian graduated from the University of Akron with his Masters degree in Sport Administration. He also completed coursework in the Masters degree for School Counseling from John Carroll University.
