Jamie Henderson was named assistant coach of the Ohio State men's gymnastics team in the summer of 2019.
Henderson saw his first Buckeye NCAA Champion since his arrival in Columbus in 2025 when Kameron Nelson clinched the vault title with a stick.
The Buckeyes had their most successful season since Henderson's addition in 2022, capturing the program's first regular-season conference title since the league began crowning a regular-season champion in 2019. Ohio State made it back to the NCAA Championships as a team, finishing in the top six (fifth) for the first time since 2017.
Henderson came to Ohio State after coaching at Star Center gymnastics in his home state of Texas. Henderson has been coaching at the club level since 2007 and has coached numerous Junior Olympic National qualifiers and a Junior National Team member. He has additionally coached at Oklahoma Gold Star and Queen City Gymnastics in Cincinnati.
As a gymnast, Henderson was a member of the USA National Team as well as a five-time All-American and a three-time NCAA team champion at the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated in 2006 with a major in studio art.
