Chane Cumbermack Shines at Commonwealth Games

Cumbermack, one of the incoming Buckeye freshmen, competed in Glasgow this past weekend.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Incoming freshmen Buckeye Chane Cumbermack represented Trinidad & Tobago at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this past weekend.
I am extremely proud of Chane and his performance throughout the week at the Commonwealth Games. He handled himself with composure, pride and competed in a first-class way while representing his country of Trinidad & Tobago along with gaining valued experience for the future. On the first day of competition, Cumbermack stuck his vault to earn a whopping score of 13.900. His all-around score (70.200) sent him to the all-around finals. His other event scores include floor (11.050), pommel horse (11.200), rings (11.000), parallel bars (11.000) and high bar (12.050).
In the all-around finals, Cumbermack hit all six of his routines to total 72.450 – a 2.250 improvement from the qualification round. Vault was again his highest score at 13.600. Cumbermack improved four event scores in the finals – floor (12.250), rings (11.300), parallel bars (12.250) and high bar (12.150). He rounded out his competition with a 10.900 on pommel horse.
