After playing his first two season, Orewiler transitioned to a student coach for his final two years. In his first season as a coach in 2018-19, Orewiler helped the team to three victories and advanced to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2011, where they made the final day of stroke play. He then helped five newcomers integrate into collegiate golf and Ohio State in 2019-20 and was also a part of guiding Felix Kvarstrom to All-Big Ten honors.

2017-18 (Sophomore)

Played in seven events and averaged 73.40 strokes per round which was third-best on the team
Averaged nearly three birdies per round which was also third-best on the squad
Stated the year with rounds of 78-75-73 at Pebble Beach for The Carmel Cup
Finished tied for 25 at the Inverness Intercollegiate after two solid rounds of 71-72
Ended the fall with a 14^th place finish at the Dayton Intercollegiate
Then opened the spring with his lowest round of the year, a 2-under 70, at the Puerto Rico Individual Classic and would go on to finish in a career-best 3^rd place
Finished 45^th at The Robert Kepler Intercollegiate following rounds of 72-78-75

2016-17 (Freshman)

Competed in 18 rounds and contributed 13 scores to the team tally
Won all three of his matches in the Big Ten Match Play Championships (Feb. 10-11)
Tallied six rounds at even par or better, including a 3-under 69 in his collegiate debut at The Carmel Cup (Sept. 2-4)
Tied for 27th in The Carmel Cup with an even-par 216
Qualified for 2017 U.S. Amateur Championship

PRIOR TO OHIO STATE

First Team All-Ohio performer and three-time all-district honoree
Won the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference (MOAC) individual title all four years and named the MOAC Player of the Year three times
Co-medalist in the 2014 district tournament to earn spot in the Ohio High School Athletic Association state championship hosted at the OSU Golf Club’s Scarlet Course
Placed fifth in the 2016 Ohio Junior Golf Championship.
