- Finished 3-5 on the season with a 4.37 ERA
- Made a great start at Rutgers on March 21, allowing just hit (a first inning HR) in seven innings of two-run ball while striking out eight
- Had a career game vs. Indiana (April 3), striking out a career-high 17 in a seven-inning, complete-game, two-hit shutout. Allowed just two singles and 17 of the 21 outs came via the punchout.
- That start was the first of three-consecutive starts of 10 or more strikeouts as he also had 10 at Michigan (April 10) and 11 at Maryland (April 17)
