Tyler Robinson was named an assistant coach for the Ohio State baseball program on July 1, 2024.Â
Robinson joined the Buckeyes following one season as an assistant coach at Liberty, where he primarily served as the Flames’ pitching coach.
Prior to Liberty, Robinson spent nine seasons at Campbell. He served as the Camels’ pitching coach from 2019-23. During his time at Campbell, the Camels made five NCAA Regional appearances and won four Big South regular season titles and three Big South Tournament titles. In three of Robinson’s four seasons as pitching coach (2019, 2022, 2023), the Camels led the Big South in ERA, strikeouts, and opponent batting average. He coached three Big South Pitchers of the Year, two Big South Freshmen of the Year, and first-round MLB Draft Pick Thomas Harrington (2022, Pittsburgh Pirates).

Before his time at Campbell, Robinson was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Brunswick Community College.
He earned his associate’s degree from Brunswick in 2011 and was a two-year pitcher there. He graduated from Elon, where he served as a student assistant, with his bachelor’s degree in 2013. Robinson and his wife Taelar, have three sons; Rhett, Ryder, and Ridge.
