COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Buckeye catcher Sam Marder is having an outstanding rookie season for the Akron Racers of the National Pro Fastpitch League.
Through 16 games, Marder is hitting .371 for the Racers, with 13 hits, 9 RBI and a pair of home runs to her credit.
The three-time All-American at Ohio State was the seventh overall pick of the Racers in the 2010 NPF senior draft. Earning four all-Big Ten selections, Marder, a native of Calabasas, California, held a number of school records at the end of her Buckeye career.
