Molk is Ohio State’s first Big Ten honoree of the 2026 season
COLUMBUS, Ohio – After a week with 16 strikeouts and a stand-out .030 ERA, freshman Jenna Molk was named Big Ten Co-Pitcher of the Week by the conference at 4 p.m. today. Molk shares the honor with Washington's Sophia Ramuno.
A Dover, Ohio native, Molk holds 12 of Ohio State's 15 wins, including five straight wins in as many starts. She started each game of the Michigan State series sweep, throwing all but one of the series' 17 innings. Molk did not allow a single run in any game against the Spartans, holding the Michigan State offense to a batting average of just .133.
Molk also broke her single-game strikeout highs in back-to-back games, striking out seven against Indiana State on March 22, then besting that mark with eight strikeouts against Cal on Wednesday. She leads the Ohio State pitching stable in nearly every category, boasting team bests in ERA (3.04), innings pitched (108.1), and strikeouts (86).
Molk and the Buckeyes will look to continue their winning momentum with two midweek matchups, hosting both Bowling Green (15-14) and Dayton (15-12) before hitting the road for a Big Ten series against Minnesota.
