COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s volleyball team travels to Ball State for a 7 p.m. matchup on Saturday. The contest will be streamed on ESPN3.

LAST TIME OUT
The Buckeyes (4-6, 3-3 MIVA) are coming off a pair of impressive victories over No. 11 Loyola Chicago. Ohio State snapped the Ramblers’ undefeated streak on Saturday with a reverse 3-2 sweep and rolled to a straight-set win on Sunday. Martin Lallemand had a .370 hitting percentage and 27 kills during the series. Michael Wright and Noah Platfoot split the setting duties to average 9.00 and 8.00 assists, respectively.
HISTORY WITH BALL STATE
Ohio State leads the all-time series with Ball State, 99-86. The Buckeyes are 31-38 when playing in Muncie, Ind., and dropped last season’s lone meeting, 3-1.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Ball State defeated Lindenwood twice in straight sets to improve to 7-1 (4-0 MIVA). Kaleb Jenness and Quinn Isaacson were selected as the MIVA Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week on Tuesday. Jenness totaled 37 kills while Isaacson averaged 3.17 digs pet set during the series. The Cardinals have been perfect at home inside Worthen Arena this season with a 6-0 mark.
NATIONALLY KNOWN
Jacob Pasteur is averaging 4.74 points and 3.91 kills per set, which stands 10th and 14th, respectively, among the nation’s leaders. As a team, the Buckeyes are seventh in aces per set (1.60), 20th in hitting percentage (.241) and 22nd in kills (11.74).
