
Oldman Helps Lead Canada to Pan-Am Gold Medal

Jack Oldman, who led the tournament in faceoff win percentage, helped Canada claimed a spot in the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in Japan.
KINGSTON, Jamacia – Ohio State rising senior Jack Oldman helped lead Canada Lacrosse to the gold medal in the inaugural Pan-American Men's Lacrosse Championship Sunday.Â
Oldman helped lift Canada to a 9-8 come-from-behind victory over the United States, winning 12-of-20 faceoff attempts to spark the Canadian offense. He also finished the event with a tournament-high 74 pct. faceoff win percentage, recording 58 wins on 78 total faceoffs.Â
Oldman and Canada claimed a spot in the 2027 World Lacrosse Men's Championship in Japan.Â
Over the last two years, Oldman has become one of the best faceoff specialists in the Big Ten, finishing the 2026 season with a 60.6 faceoff win percentage while also leading the conference in ground balls in each of the last, totaling 188 in those two seasons combined. Â
Nationally, Oldman finished 12th in faceoff win percentage last season while ranking 10th in ground balls per game in 2025. Â
Additionally, the Pickering, Ontario native has also scored four career goals while contributing four assists in the last two years.Â
The gold medal match was Ohio State lacrosse alumni Blake Eiland, who played a key role in the United States run to the championship match. Eiland notched one goal and anchored the defense for the U.S., helped them also secure qualification to 2027 Men's Championship.
