“Together, they’ve dedicated 14 years to Buckeye Lacrosse and the impact they’ve had on our program, players and I will be remembered forever.” - head coach Nick Myers
COLUMBUS, Ohio – After helping guide Ohio State Men's Lacrosse to back-to-back Big Ten Championships, associate head coach Travis Crane and assistant coach Justin Tuma are stepping away from collegiate lacrosse, focusing on other pursuits.
Alongside head coach Nick Myers, the program has had its winningest two-year stretch in program history, combining for a 24-7 record while winning the regular season Big Ten title in 2025 and 2026 and the Big Ten Tournament title in 2025. Additionally, the last two seasons mark the first time since 1965-66 that the Buckeyes have had back-to-back 10 wins seasons.
"I want to thank Travis and Justin for everything they have poured into the Ohio State Men's Lacrosse," Coach Myers said. "Together, they've dedicated 14 years to Buckeye Lacrosse and the impact they've had on our program, players and I will be remembered forever. While it is difficult to see them step away from coaching, I have tremendous respect for their decisions to prioritize their families. I will forever be grateful to these men for leaving the program better than they found it. I am excited for them both as they begin their next chapters."
Over the dominant two-year stretch, the Buckeyes have had the one of the best defense in the country, allowing just 8.32 goals per game. Additionally, Ohio State led the country with just 7.36 goals allowed per game, holding opponents to single digits scoring in 12 of 14 games in 2026. It was the lowest GAA mark by any Division I team since the 2016 season (discounting the shortened and canceled 2020 season).
