
Domke Claims Final Big Ten Pitcher of the Week Award

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State baseball junior Chris Domke has been named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Domke was phenomenal in the Buckeyes' 8-1 victory on Saturday to complete a series sweep of rival Michigan. Domke tossed a 9.0-inning complete game, striking out six and allowing just one run on three hits, while walking one.
Domke is the first Buckeye pitcher since 2021 to throw a 9.0-inning complete game.
Domke is 6-6 on the season with 59 strikeouts in 73.0 innings pitched. He has tossed two complete games. This is his first career Big Ten weekly honor.
Domke is the third Buckeye this season to earn Big Ten weekly honors. Alex Bemis (March 23) and Mason Eckelman (May 4) both earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors.
The Buckeyes are back in action on Tuesday, May 19 at 10 p.m. ET as they take on Washington in their first game of the Big Ten Tournament.
