COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 14 Ohio State men's lacrosse team begins its two week homestand this weekend and hosts No. 10 Johns Hopkins Saturday, April 11 at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium for Alumni Day. The Buckeyes (8-3, 1-2 B1G) and Blue Jays (7-3, 2-1 B1G) will face off at noon in Columbus.

Buckeyes In a Nutshell
- Ohio State has a Big Ten-best clearing percentage (.918), scoring defense (7.09) and win percentage (.727). The team is also in the top half of the league in caused turnovers per game (8.73), faceoff win percentage (.599), ground balls per game (33.18), man-up offense (.462) and scoring margin (3.55).
- In addition to leading the conference, the team's goals against average is also the best in the country. Ohio State has held 10 of its 11 opponents this season to single-digit goals.
- Buckeye netminder Caleb Fyock, a junior from Bowie, Md., leads the country with a 7.48 goals-against average. Fyock is second in the conference with a 56.4 save percentage and is averaging 8.36 saves per game.
- Garrett Haas leads the team with 38 points and 17 assists this season. He has tied his career-high point total, which he recorded last season. The junior from Fairview, Texas has recorded 77 points for his career and all but one has been recorded in the last two seasons. Haas also leads the team with three game-winning goals in 2026, scoring the deciding goal in the wins over Detroit Mercy, Cleveland State and Georgetown.
- Alex Marinier has a team-high 22 goals this season. He is now the 15th player in program history to record 100 career goals. He is the first player since Jack Myers ('23) to hit the milestone. The Burlington, Ont. native is just the fourth player in the last 10 seasons for the Buckeyes to record 100 goals. Â
- Faceoff specialists Jack Oldman and Matt Mayfield are first and third in the conference with 5.73 and 4.30 ground balls per game, respectively. Cullen Brown is also top 10 in the league with 3.45 ground balls per game. Oldman and Brown are both in the top five for career groundballs by a Buckeye since 2003, with Oldman in third with 240 and Brown in fourth with 179. Â
- Oldman and Mayfield are also top five in the Big Ten with faceoff win percentages of .612 and .567, respectively. The team is 59.9 percent at the faceoff dot this year, good for eighth nationally.
- Seven Buckeyes have recorded points in two of the team's three conference games this season (G-A-P): Haas (3-2-5), Jake Cohen (2-0-2), Marinier (4-1-5), Hocker (2-1-3), Jake Struck (0-3-3), Liam White (2-1-3), Russell Melendez (1-1-2).
- Ohio State looks to earn its second conference win this weekend against the Blue Jays. The Buckeyes are 1-2 in conference play, with an overtime win over Rutgers and top 10 losses to Maryland and Penn State.
- Five of the Buckeyes' last six games were one or two-goal games. Ohio State went 3-2 in those contests. Two games this year have been decided in overtime, with Ohio State winning the Big Ten-opener at Rutgers in extra time and falling in overtime at Maryland last weekend.
- The team has played seven straight games against ranked opponents. Saturday's game is the Buckeyes' third straight against a team ranked in the top 10 of the USILA poll. The Buckeyes are 3-3 in ranked matchups in 2026.
- Head coach Nick Myers is in his 18th season leading the Scarlet and Gray. In his Ohio State career, he has led the team to a 153-113 record. He is assisted by associate head coach Travis Crane and assistant coaches James Purpura and Justin Tuma.
- The team is captained by Cullen Brown, Blake Eiland, Taji Flynn, Alex Marinier and Bobby Van Buren.
- Saturday marks the 20th meeting in the all-time series between Ohio State and Johns Hopkins. The series started on April 11, 1999.
- Ohio State is 5-2 against the Blue Jays in Columbus. The team has won five of the last seven matchups against Johns Hopkins.
- Last season, the Buckeyes picked up their first win in Baltimore since 2021, defeating Johns Hopkins, 14-10.
- The last four meetings between the teams in Columbus have been decided by no more than two goals. The last time the teams met at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium, the Blue Jays came away with an 11-10 win.
