
Ohio State Claims Two Relay Titles on Final Day of Penn Relays

The Buckeyes won the men’s 4x100m and 4x400m relays today in Philadelphia.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the Penn Relays and Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational this weekend.
On a rainy third and final day in Philadelphia, Pa., the Buckeyes made out with a pair of men's relay titles. Nazzio John, Kyler Brown, Nick Biega and Braxton Brann secured Ohio State's first title in the College Men's 4x100 Championship of America since 1932, crossing the line in 39.56. In the College Men's 4x400m Championship of America, Edidiong Udo, Noah Carmichael, Mason Louis and Brann out-leaned Texas A&M at the line to finish in 3:05.85, coming away with the title by a tenth of a second.
At the Jim Freeman/Clarke Wood Invitational in Louisville, Ky., Morgan Hallett earned a win in the division A women's discus competition with a career-best mark of 54.82m/179'10".
The Buckeyes will be back in action next weekend when they host the Jesse Owens Track and Field Classic at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

- Men's 5000m: Kevin Agnew earned a PB after crossing the line in 14:12.96.

- Women's Discus (Div. A): Hallett registered a PB mark of 54.82m/179'10" to win the competition, while Kamille Smith earned a PB of her own (46.59m/152'10") and placed fifth.
- Men's Discus (Div. A): Jack Knpake took fourth with a distance of 49.83m/163'06", while Lawson Maag recorded a mark of 47.56m/156'00" on his first attempt of the day and placed fourth.
- Women's Pole Vault Championship: Sophie Fong earned a second-place finish after clearing a height of 4.05m/13'3.5".
- Men's Triple Jump Championship: Ibrahim Khairat registered a distance of 14.70m/48'2.75" on his first jump of the day for an eighth-place finish.
