Buckeyes return to action in Big Ten Tournament Wednesday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – In the final game of the regular season, the Ohio State women's lacrosse team fell to No. 3 Maryland, 13-9, Saturday in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. The Buckeyes are now 9-7 (3-5 B1G), with Maryland 14-2 (6-2 B1G).

The Buckeyes led 3-1 after the first quarter but the Terps outscored Ohio State 7-1 in the second for an 8-4 lead at the half. Each team scored five times in the second half for the final.

Against Maryland, Kate Tyack had a hat trick, while Annie Hargraves scored twice and Camryn Callaghan had a goal and an assist. Ohio State recorded 14 draw controls, led by Abby Boyle and Kampbell Stone with four each. Goalie Jocelyn Torres had four saves and two caused turnovers.

The postseason begins next week as Ohio State heads to the Big Ten Tournament. The No. 1 seed will receive a bye into the semifinals, with three quarterfinals Wednesday, the semifinals Friday and the final next Sunday. Michigan will host the tournament at U-M Lacrosse Stadium in Ann Arbor.Â

How it Happened – Maryland 13, Ohio State 9
- Ohio State scored three of the game's first four goals.
- Buckeye Kate Tyack found the back of the cage at 12:02 to start the scoring.
- After a Terp goal at 6:08, Camryn Callaghan and Annie Hargraves scored back-to-back at 5:23 and 3:51 for a 3-1 Ohio Sate lead, which it carried into the break.
- Maryland went on a five-goal run to start the second and take a 6-3 lead at 4:38.
- Ohio State drew within two (6-4) at 2:49 on a Tyack score.
- Goals at 1:59 and :08 for Maryland put the Terps up 8-4 at the half.
- Just three goals were scored in the third quarter. Maryland's Lauren Lapointe tallied at 12:16 and 6:42 and Buckeye Zoe Coleman converted a pass from Maddy Paz at 5:20. The visitors led 10-5 through three quarters.
- Maryland scored two of the first three goals of the final stanza, sandwiched around a goal from Hargraves at 13:32.
- Maryland tallied at 12:02 for a 12-6 game, answered with three Buckeye goals.

- Boyle has a team-high 98 draw controls, the second-most in a single season in program history. She has 148 in her career to rank fifth in the Buckeye record book.
- Hargraves has 21 multiple-goal outings as a Buckeye and now has 20 goals this year to rank fourth on the team.Â

- Moneymaker has eight goals on the year and Simonds notched her fourth goal and sixth point of the season.
