COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State softball (22-21) took a late-game thriller over Penn State (27-16), 4-3. Clutch hitting by Skylar Limon put runners on second and third, with Sami Bewick delivering the final blow with a single that scored Izzy Neal and Limon.
Bewick, Taylor Cruse, and Abbie Wilhelm combined for the runs scored, with Wilhelm driving in a run and Taylor Cruse launching a home run. The win was Ohio State's first non-home run walk off win since April 27th, 2024, when Jasmyn Burns delivered a single to take the win over Illinois.
Lorin Boutte got the win in relief, tossing two shutout innings and striking out three. Jenna Molk got the start, going five innings and striking out six.
