Ohio State Seeks 20th-consecutive B1G Title Sunday at Nebraska
COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 2 Ohio State Topped No. 33 Wisconsin 4-1 Friday in the Buckeyes penultimate regular season match of the season at the Neilson Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Buckeyes are currently on a 12-game winning streak and own the longest streak in the conference with nine-consecutive wins against Big Ten opponents.
Ohio State grabbed the doubles point with a pair of 6-3 victories on courts two and three. Loren Byers and Preston Stearns earned singles wins and Bryce Nakashima clinched the victory for the Buckeyes on court six in a 7-5, 6-0 match.
On Sunday, the Buckeyes wrap up the regular season with their final match against Nebraska on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Hazel Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
With a win on Sunday against Nebraska, Ohio State would clinch a share of the Big Ten regular season title.

All three matches saw a tie at 2-all before the Buckeyes pulled away to secure the doubles point.

Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima secured a 6-3 win on court three, the win marked their seventh-consecutive doubles victory.

On court two, Alexander Bernard and Alex Okonkwo extended their win streak to nine with a 6-3 win, clinching the doubles point for the victory.

Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin were up 5-3 on court one when the point was clinched.

The Badgers No. 86 Michael Minasyan tied the match at 1-all after earning a two-set victory over Jack Anthrop on court two.

Loren Byers earned his fifth-consecutive singles win on court five after grabbing a pair of 6-3 set victories, putting the Buckeyes up 2-1.

Ohio State added another point off of Preston Stearns 6-2, 6-4 win on court three.

The Buckeyes were up 3-1 on the Badgers and Bryce Nakashima clinched the Ohio State win with a 7-5 set one win and a 6-0 sweep in the second set.

Aidan Kim got out to a quick 6-2 set one win before falling in 6-3 in the second set. Kim found himself down 5-3 when Nakashima clinched the victory for the Buckeyes.

On court four, Nikita Filin went down early after a 6-3 set and he tied the match after a 7-2 tiebreaker win. Filin trailed 1-0 when the match was clinched.
