Buckeyes enter Big Ten Tournament as a Top 2 seed Thursday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 2 Ohio State swept No. 61 Nebraska 4-0 Sunday in the Buckeyes final regular season match of the season at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Buckeyes clinched a share of the Big Ten regular-season title for the 20th-consecutive year with a 12-1 conference record, tying Michigan State atop the conference standings.
Dating back to 2006, Ohio State owns a 214-3 conference record, including 17 undefeated seasons in Big Ten play and three seasons with a single loss. From 2006-2025 the Buckeyes won 97 Big Ten games in a row.
In the stretch of 20 years, Ohio State has gone on to win the Big Ten Tournament Title 14 times.
Heading into the Big Ten Tournament, Ohio State is currently on a 13-game winning streak and owns the longest streak in the conference with 10-consecutive wins against Big Ten opponents.
Ohio State grabbed the doubles point with a 6-1 victory on court three and a tiebreaker win from Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin on court one. Aidan Kim and Filin earned quick two-set victories on courts two and four, and Bryce Nakashima clinched the Buckeye sweep over the Cornhuskers with a 6-3, 6-2 win on court six.
On Thursday, the Buckeyes will enter the Big Ten Tournament in Ojai, California as the No. 2 seed. Ohio State will face either No. 10 Nebraska or No. 7 Michigan in the quarterfinals. The tournament will stretch from Wednesday to Saturday at Libbey Park in Ojai.

Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima earned the first doubles win for the Buckeyes on court three in a 6-1 match.

The Cornhuskers tied it up at 1-all with a 6-3 win on court two against Alexander Bernard and Alex Okonwo.

In a match that lasted over an hour, Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin found themselves down 5-4 with Nebraska having multiple set point opportunities. Carpico and Filin fought off the set points and forced a tiebreaker, the pair got up to a 4-2 lead and didn't give it up, winning 7-4 and clinching the doubles point for the Buckeyes

On court two, Aidan KIm defeated No. 122 Nikolay Sysoev after a 6-0 sweep in set one and a 6-3 win in set two.

Nikita Filin continued his dominance in Big Ten play as he earned his 13th-consecutive victory against conference opponents in a 6-1, 6-4 match on court four.

With the Buckeyes up 3-0, Bryce Nakashima clinched an Ohio State victory and the Big Ten Men's Title with a 6-3, 6-2 match on court six.

Preston Stearns and Jack Anthrop were both down a set when the match was called.
