
Buckeyes Conclude Day 1 of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in 6th Place

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Buckeyes women's golf opened play at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, finishing day one in sixth place overall.
Nellie Ong led the way for the Buckeyes, carding an even-par round highlighted by three birdies to sit tied for eighth place individually.
Kary Hollenbaugh followed with a 3-over 74, placing her in a tie for 27th after the opening round. Sophie Eppelstun posted a 75 (+4) to sit in 38th, while Matilde Santilli finished just behind her in 50th after carding a 5-over 76. Mandy Song rounded out the team scoring with an 81 (+10), placing her 82nd overall.
Competing as an individual, Marina Joyce-Moreno shot an 85 (+14) and sits in 89th place after the first day of competition.
The Buckeyes return to the course for round two on Tuesday, teeing off at 9:20 a.m. EST as they look to climb the leaderboard. The Golf Channel will be covering the Buckeyes live from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
