Buckeyes Celebrate Senior Day on Saturday

Ohio State hosts No. 13 Army and No. 14 William & Mary on Saturday at 2 p.m. inside the Covelli Center.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 5 Ohio State men's gymnastics team (5-3, 1-0 B1G) hosts No. 13 Army (5-5) and No. 14 William & Mary (1-10) on Saturday for senior day. The tri-meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on B1G+. Admission and parking are free for all home meets. The senior day ceremony will take place after the meet.
- Parker Thackston earned a spot on the U.S. Senior National Team for his performance at the Winter Cup last weekend. Thackston captured the pommel horse title with a career-high score of 15.325. He was the only gymnast to score a 15.000 or above on any event and is the only gymnast in the country this season to earn a 15.000 or better on pommel horse. He was named CGA Specialist of the Week.
- Drake Andrews, Kristian Grahovski, Jesse Pakele and David Ramirez all competed in the all-around competition at Winter Cup and finished in the top 10. Pakele led the way for the Buckeyes in the all-around by finishing fourth with a career-high score of 78.200.
- As a team, the Buckeyes scored 56.650 on vault in their last team meet against Oklahoma and Air Force. That score is tied for the highest vault score by any team in the country this season. Ohio State also owns the highest team vault average (55.613) in the nation this season.
