
Seniors Shine for Buckeyes in Senior Day Win over Army and William & Mary

The Buckeyes posted a season-high score of 320.650 and captured five event titles.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 5 Ohio State men's gymnastics team (7-3, 1-0 B1G) scored a season-high 302.650 and defeated both Army and William & Mary in Saturday's senior day tri-meet at the Covelli Center. No. 13 Army finished with a team score of 308.100 while No. 14 William & Mary's team score was 305.100.

The Buckeyes started the day with season-best performances on both the floor and pommel horse. Chase Davenport-Mills posted a season-high 14.000 while Lukas Ross enjoyed a career-best 13.450 to finish 1-2 on the floor. On the pommel horse, all four Buckeyes finished in the top four as they posted a 56.550, one of the top scores in the country this year. Parker Thackston led the way with a 15.300 in his second consecutive pommel horse title, followed by a career-high from Conlan Simpkins at 14.150, while Kristian Grahovski and Jace Hashimoto each posted season-high scores of 13.700 and 13.400, respectively.

On rings, the Buckeyes again finished 1-2-3 in the event. Senior Jesse Pakele had a career-high score of 13.650 as Grahovski followed with a 13.050 and David Ramirez had a 13.050. In vault, senior Jacob Harmon finished second with a season-high score of 13.900 and Ramirez tied Harmon for second at 13.900. Pakele (13.600), Tyler Burgess (13.500) and Ramirez (13.400) finished 1-2-3 in the parallel bars and then Harmon capped senior day with a win on the high bar, posting a season-best 13.850.

The program recognized its seven seniors following the meet – Justin Ciccone, Kristian Grahovski, Jacob Harmon, Max Olinger, Jesse Pakele, Caden Spencer and Parker Thackston.
