Parker Thackston Captures Pommel Horse Title at 2026 Winter Cup

The Buckeyes had four all-arounders finish in the top 10 in addition to Thackston’s pommel horse win.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 5 Ohio State men's gymnastics team (5-3, 1-0 B1G) had five current gymnasts and one incoming gymnast compete at the 2026 Winter Cup on Saturday in the senior men's competition.

Parker Thackston won the pommel horse title with a career-high score of 15.325 – the only score above 15.000 in the entire competition on any event. Thackston beat the runner-up on pommel horse by more than a full point. All four Buckeye all-arounders finished in the top 10 in a field of 24 competitors.

How it Happened
The Buckeyes return home to host a tri-meet against No. 14 William & Mary and No. 13 Army on Saturday, Feb. 28 inside the Covelli Center. The senior day meet will begin at 2 p.m. ET and be broadcast live on B1G+. Â
