COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team closes its 2025-26 regular season this weekend with a two-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association series at Bemidji State Feb. 20-21. The Buckeyes (28-4-0, 22-4-0 WCHA) and Beavers (6-23-3, 3-22-1 WCHA) meet at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday from the Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minn.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Ohio State is second in the WCHA standings entering the final series of the regular season this weekend. The team has 64 points, just two points behind first-place Wisconsin. The Buckeyes are also second in the national rankings this week, earning two first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and one in the USA Hockey College Hockey Poll.
- Ohio State's 28 wins this season are the second most in the country. The team's winning percentage (.875) is tied with the Badgers for best in the country.
- With the Buckeyes' leading scorers of Joy Dunne and Hilda Svensson at the Olympics, the team's next three leading point scorers in Jocelyn Amos (34), Sloane Matthews (32) and Maxine Cimoroni (27) have at least a point in five of the last six games. The team has had point production from nearly every player on the ice in the absence of five players to the Olympics with 12 of Ohio State's 14 skaters with at least a point in the last six games.
- Amos is averaging over a point per game for the Buckeyes with 34 points in 28 games this season. She has hit the 30-point mark for the third time in her career.
- Senior goaltender Hailey MacLeod is sixth in the country with a 1.60 goals-against average. She has a save percentage of over 92 percent this year and is fourth nationally with a .857 win percentage with an 18-3-0 record. She is now tied for seventh in the Ohio State record book for season wins by a Buckeye netminder.
- Ohio State's power play is eighth nationally, converting at 26.9 percent. In the last four weeks, the Buckeyes are 32 percent on the player advantage, including eight power play goals in six games against top 10 teams. Â The team's 29 power play goals this season rank fifth in the country.
- Matthews and Emma Peschel are on track to hit the 100-point mark for their careers with 92 points and 91 points, respectively. Matthews has recorded 30 points in a season for the first time in her career. Peschel has 22 points on the season.
- Twelve Buckeyes were named to the WCHA All-Academic Team by the conference this week. The award recognizes student-athletes with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their previous two semesters or three quarters and who have achieved at least sophomore status in their academic careers.Â
- Ohio State is 68-29-13 in the all-time series against Bemidji State.
- In Bemidji, Ohio State owns a 26-17-7 series record.

- In the semifinals, Cayla Barnes scored her first goal of the tournament with the game-winning goal of the 5-0 United States win over Sweden. Barnes led the team with a +3 on ice. Hannah Bilka recorded a team-high two points on two assists. Sophie Jaques assisted one of Canada's two goals in the 2-1 win over Switzerland in the semifinals. Andrea Braendli put on another impressive performance with 44 saves and a 95.65 save percentage in the game for Switzerland.
