Ohio State Hosts Maryland for Pink Game Sunday Afternoon

The Buckeyes and Terrapins meet for their second top 20 matchup of the season.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 8/8 Ohio State women's basketball team (22-3, 11-2 B1G) hosts No. 20/17 Maryland (20-6, 8-6 B1G) on Sunday afternoon for the pink game. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET in a game broadcast on FS1 and 97.1FM.

Parking is free for all women's basketball home games. Ohio State students get free admission with their BuckID and the first 250 Buckeye students will receive a Burger King gift card. The James will be handing out pink glow sticks and pink drawstring bags and all fans are encouraged to wear pink. There will be pregame activities with Coca Cola on the east concourse and the Performance Dogs of Ohio will headline halftime. Breast cancer survivors will be recognized throughout the game.

- Ohio State wrapped up its west coast trip with an 80-64 win against Oregon last Sunday. Elsa Lemmilä (career-high 23), Kennedy Cambridge (20), Jaloni Cambridge (19) and Ava Watson (10) all scored in double figures. K. Cambridge also shot 5-of-7 (.714) from long range with five makes being her career-high.
- J. Cambridge became the 40th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, doing so on a three-point play in the third quarter. This week, she was named to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll, one of five USBWA Women's Players of the Week and to the Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20 Watch List. She's averaging 22.5 points per game this season.
- K. Cambridge became the second player in OSU history to record 100 steals in a single season, joining Yvette Angel who totaled 115 steals during the 1984-85 season.
- No. 20/17 Maryland enters Sunday's game with a 20-6 overall record and an 8-6 Big Ten record after earning an 81-62 win over Penn State on Thursday.
- Since the Buckeyes and Terrapins met on Jan. 11 in College Park, the Terps have beaten USC, then No. 12 Michigan State, Nebraska and Penn State and fallen to then No. 3 UCLA, No. 10 Iowa, No. 25 Washington and Oregon.
- Oluchi Okananwa continues to lead the Terrapins' offense and ranks top 10 in the conference with 17.2 points per game. She's also tied for seventh in the Big Ten with 2.1 steals per game.
- Ohio State trails 16-10 in the all-time series against Maryland, but the Buckeyes have a 6-3 advantage when facing the Terrapins in Columbus.
- When the teams met earlier this season on Jan. 11 in College Park, Ohio State earned an 89-76 victory against a Maryland team ranked No. 8 at the time of the game. This was the Buckeyes' first top 10 win of the season.
