COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey hosts its final regular season home series this weekend to host No. 3 Minnesota. The Buckeyes (26-4-0, 20-4-0 WCHA) and Gophers (24-5-1, 18-5-1 WCHA) meet in the top three tilt at 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday from the OSU Ice Rink in Columbus.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Saturday is Senior Day for the women's hockey program. The team will recognize its five seniors – Brooke Disher, Hailey MacLeod, Sloane Matthews, Emma Peschel and Sara Swiderski – prior to the game. The recognition ceremony will start at 2 p.m. with doors to the OSU Ice Rink set to open at 1:45 p.m.
- Ohio State and Minnesota meet again this season as the No. 2 and No. 3 ranked teams in the country. The Buckeyes are 20-4-0 in ranked matchups this year. Five of Ohio State's last six series have been played against ranked teams.
- The Buckeyes lead the country with a .602 faceoff percentage. Jocelyn Amos is over 65 percent from the dot with 371 wins, good for fifth nationally. The team's scoring margin (2.70), scoring offense (4.43) and win percentage (.875) rank in the top five in the country.
- In goal for the Buckeyes, MacLeod is 16-3-0 on the year with a .927 save percentage and 1.61 goals-against average. She is second in the conference in win percentage and goals-against average.
- Ohio State is second in the country for the ninth straight week and are second in the WCHA standings with 55 points. The team is receiving eight first-place votes in the USA Hockey College Hockey Poll and one in the USCHO poll.
- Olympians Joy Dunne and Hilda Svensson lead the team with 44 points on the year. Jocelyn Amos and Sloane Matthews have also hit the 30-point mark this season for Ohio State. Matthew's 30 points are a career high.
- The Buckeyes are led by head coach Nadine Muzerall, who is in her 10th season at the helm. She is the program's winningest head coach with a 250-85-22 record at Ohio State.
- Ohio State and Minnesota split the first series of the season. The Buckeyes won game one, 4-1, and the Gophers took game two, 6-3.
- In the all-time series between the teams, Ohio State is 31-85-7. Since Muzerall took over the program in 2016, the Buckeyes are 15-8-2 against the Gophers.
- Muzerall and Cline both played their collegiate careers at Minnesota. Muzerall was an assistant coach for the Gophers when Cline was a player from 2014-17.
- Ohio State split its series at No. 1 Wisconsin, with both games decided by 4-1 scores.
- The Buckeyes won game one with goals from Sloane Matthews, Kassidy Carmichael, Maxine Cimoroni and Jordyn Petrie. Hailey MacLeod made 30 saves in the game.
- Petrie led the team with three points on the weekend, all recorded in the win.
- Kaia Malachino tallied the team's lone goal in the second game.
- Ten of Ohio State's 14 skaters recorded a point in the series.
- Women's hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics has concluded the preliminary round and the quarterfinals will begin Friday, Feb. 13. All 12 Buckeyes competing in Milan advance to the quarterfinal round for their respective teams.
- Mira Jungåker, Jenna Raunio, Hilda Svensson and Sweden finished undefeated in Group B play to advance to the quarterfinal stage. Both Svensson and Raunio have four points for Sweden in four games played. Â
- Two of three of Team USA's leading Olympic first-timer scorers are Buckeyes. Bilka and Dunne are tied for the lead with four points each. Bilka has three goals in the tournament, including two in the win over Canada.Â
- Jenn Gardiner (Canada), Sanni Vanhanen (Finland), Dunne, Bilka, and Jungåker have all scored in their first Olympics.
