
Ohio State Travels to Stanford Open Saturday

The Buckeyes travel west to face No. 2 Stanford and No. 7 California on Saturday night.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's gymnastics team (2-1) travels west for the Stanford Open on Saturday night at 10 p.m. ET. The Buckeyes will face No. 2 Stanford and No. 7 California in a meet streamed on Virti.us.
- Ohio State ranks sixth in the nation in the Road to Nationals rankings after finishing second as a team (311.300) in the OSU Open on Sunday to begin the season. Â
- Junior Drake Andrews won the all-around competition at the OSU Open and earned his spot at Winter Cup with a career-high score of 79.400. He also earned career-high scores on floor (13.500) and pommel horse (13.150) and finished third on both floor and parallel bars (13.650).
- Andrews was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week on Tuesday.
- Chase Davenport-Mills and Zach Snyder tied for the win on vault at the OSU Open with a score of 13.900.
- Jesse Pakele scored a career-high 13.850 on parallel bars to finish second on the event at the OSU Open. Also on the podium was Jacob Harmon, who tied for third on floor (13.500).
- Prior to the season, Pakele and David Ramirez were named Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch.
- Pakele and fellow senior Justin Ciccone are serving as this season's team captains. This is Ciccone's second consecutive season being captain.
