COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 14/15 Ohio State women's basketball team (16-2, 6-1 B1G) beat Penn State (7-11, 0-7 B1G) on Wednesday by a 108-84 margin. The Buckeyes tied their single-game program record 17 made three-pointers in the game.
Ohio State got off to a quick start, scoring the game's first 14 points, and led by a 21-16 margin after one quarter of play. The Buckeyes led by as many as 13 and as little as two in the second quarter before Ava Watson beat the buzzer to give Ohio State a 54-46 halftime lead. The Buckeyes outscored the Nittany Lions by a 28-17 margin in the third quarter to extend their lead to 82-63 after three quarters. - Q1: Lemmilä scored six early points as part of a 9-0 Buckeye run in the first two minutes of the game. Ohio State extended its lead to 14-0, keeping Penn State off the scoreboard for more than five minutes to start the game.
