Ohio State Returns to Invisalign Bay Area Women’s Classic December 20

The Buckeyes will face the Cardinal in the second game of the doubleheader in San Francisco.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Chase Center in San Francisco has announced it will host the Invisalign Bay Area Women's Classic Dec. 20. Ohio State and Stanford will play in the second game of the doubleheader, following a matchup between Nebraska and Cal. Game times will be announced at a later date.
The Invisalign® Bay Area Classic will be a single-admission doubleheader, and each fan will only need to purchase one ticket to gain admission for both games. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 2 p.m. Friday and can be purchased at chasecenter.com.
The Buckeyes and Cardinal have met six times previously with two Ohio State wins later vacated because of NCAA rulings. The Buckeyes earned the first win of the series – a 79-47 decision in Columbus Dec. 28, 1984. The teams most recently met in the 2024 Invisalign Bay Area Women's Classic with Ohio State emerging with an 84-59 victory. This will be the fourth time that the Buckeyes and Cardinal will play on a neutral court.
Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff led the Buckeyes to their fifth consecutive season with 25 or more wins in 2025-26, finishing with a 27-8 record. Ohio State made its fourth Big Ten semifinal appearance in the past five seasons after finishing in a tie for fourth in the league during the regular season with a 13-5 Big Ten record. The Buckeyes hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season and are one of only six programs to accomplish that feat. McGuff earned his 500th career victory Feb. 5 on the road against a ranked Washington team. Sophomore Jaloni Cambridge put together one of the best seasons in program history, scoring 813 points (ranks fourth in program history and trails only Kelsey Mitchell) and making 305 field goals (ranks third in program history). Following the conclusion of the season, Chance Gray was taken in the second round by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2026 WNBA Draft. The Buckeyes return eight of the 11 players from last season's roster to the team in 2026-27.
