COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Aaron Hurge, a freshman midfielder from Bethesda, Maryland, was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after the Buckeyes earned a 3-2 road win at Michigan State last week.Â
Hurge scored the first goal of his Ohio State career and then added an assist on the match-winning score by senior Marko Borkovic to secure the win.Â
In the 66' and trailing the Spartans, Hurge evened the match at 2-all from a Borkovic feed. Just over a minute later, Hurge returned the favor on a cross for a Borkovic header to secure victory.Â
Ohio State is back in action Friday when the Buckeyes travel to Piscataway, New Jersey, to take on Rutgers (7 p.m./B1G+). Ohio State returns home after a three-match road swing to take on UCLA Sept. 29.
