McHenry Earns Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

Buckeyes allowed one goal, 11 shots in wins over Oakland, Temple
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Nick McHenry, a sophomore defender from Loveland, Ohio, was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday after the Buckeyes earned two victories in the annual Wolstein Classic over the weekend.Â
McHenry and the rest of the Ohio State back line held Oakland and Temple to just one goal in the event while limiting teams to a total of 11 shots.Â
In the 2-1 win over Temple Sunday, which secured the title for the Buckeyes, McHenry also scored the first goal of the match on a corner kick delivered by Marko Borkovic.Â
The win over the Owls gave the Buckeyes seven Wolstein Classic titles all time (19 total).
Ohio State is back in action at 7 p.m. Friday in the annual Connor Senn Match. The Buckeyes will take on Akron at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
