Buckeyes Finish 6th at Bearcat Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State sophomore Vaughn Harber tied for the low round of the day with a bogey-free 4-under 67 to help the Buckeyes finish sixth at the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream CC on Tuesday.
Harber finished tied for 14th at 1-under for the event while junior Tyler Sabo carded a final round 71 and finished tied for 11th at 2-under par. Harber’s 67 was tied for the low round of his career.
As a team, the Buckeyes started the day in 10th place and shot one of six under-par rounds on the day (-1, 283) to jump up to 6th place.
Joe Wilson IV rounded out his week with a 2-over 73 on Tuesday to finish at 5-over par. Timotej Formanek played his final 36 holes at just 1-over par after carding a 1-over 72 on Tuesday. Freshman Giedrius Mackelis capped his first collegiate event with a 73 and matched Formanek at 9-over par. Topher Reed carded rounds of 75-76-76 to finish at +14.
The Buckeyes will have a couple weeks off before returning to action for their third of four events this fall at the Windon Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Ill.
