
Pettorini Signs Free Agent Deal With The Phillies

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Ohio State baseball infielder Tyler Pettorini signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an undrafted free agent on Monday night.
Pettorini, who graduated this spring, had a phenomenal four-year career for the Buckeyes. He started in 171 games for the Scarlet and Gray and finished his career with a .299 batting average. Over four seasons, he compiled 123 runs scored, 214 hits, 38 doubles, 10 triples, 23 home runs, 139 RBIs and 33 stolen bases.
During his final season in Columbus in 2025, Pettorini led the Buckeyes with a .324 batting average, 72 hits and was tied for the team-lead in home runs with 10. He scored 40 runs and had 15 doubles, 45 RBIs and 13 stolen bases.
Pettorini batted over .300 in three of his four seasons in Columbus. He is the seventh player in program history to sign with the Phillies.
