Head coach Nick Myers was named the league's Coach of the Year by unanimous vote. He led the Buckeyes to their first Big Ten regular season title with a program record four Big Ten wins. Under his guidance, the team finished the regular season 12-2 with wins over three of last year's Final Four teams. The award is his second of his career, earning a share of the honor in 2018.
Also announced Wednesday were All-Big Ten teams. Ohio State's four selections tie with Maryland and Rutgers for a conference high.
Fyock is joined by senior defenseman Bobby Van Buren and senior attacker Alex Marinier on the first team. The all-conference award is the third for Van Buren, who was a second team honoree in 2022 and 2023, and the first for Fyock and Marinier. Van Buren captains a Buckeye defense that ranks in the top 10 nationally and held three of its conference opponents to 10 or less goals. He has 13 caused turnovers and 19 ground balls this season. Marinier leads the team in scoring in 2025 with 41 goals on the year and is the best shooter in the conference with a .418 shot percentage. In conference play, he led the team with 13 points on 12 goals and one assist.
Cullen Brown picks up the Second Team All-Big Ten honor for his first career all-conference nod. The junior defender has started every game at close defense alongside Van Buren and leads the team with a program-record 31 caused turnovers on the season. He also leads non-faceoff players on the team with 49 ground balls.
This year, the Big Ten announced its first All-Freshman team. Rookie midfielder Liam White was voted to the team. White, a native of Western Springs, Ill., has 12 points on eight goals and four assists in his first collegiate season. He has four points in conference play this year and recorded a career-high three points on a goal and two assists in the team's win at Johns Hopkins.
Senior captain Greg Langermeier earned the Buckeyes' Sportsmanship Award designation. Langermeier, who started his Ohio State career as a walk on and is now a captain in his fifth season, is on the Buckeyes' starting line of short stick defensive midfielders. He is also this season's hammer recipient, an honor passed down by the team to the leader in the weight room. Langermeier has three goals, three assists and 16 ground balls on the year.
"I'm proud to see our men recognized in one of the toughest conferences in all of college lacrosse," Myers said. "These recognitions say not only a great deal about the individual but as much about their teammates around them."
