Buckeyes Complete Staff with Addition of Collins

Kendall Collins comes to Columbus after spending the previous season as the defensive coordinator at Mercer and as the defensive coordinator from 2023 to 2025 at Limestone.
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State men's lacrosse and head coach Nick Myers announced the hiring of coach Kendall Collins Wednesday as an assistant coach ahead of the 2027 season.Â
In his role with the Buckeye program, Collins will direct faceoffs, wing play, middle of the field responsibilities, ride and clear while assisting in game planning, scouting and recruiting efforts.Â
"We are thrilled to complete our staff with Kendall," Coach Myers said. "Kendall brings great insight about the game but also someone who can connect with our student-athletes and help them grow as competitors and as young men. He's known for have tremendous attention to detail and a passion for teaching that will make an immediate impact on our faceoff unit and our team as a whole."Â
Most recently, Collins was the defensive coordinator at Mercer for the past season where he helped train nine players earned All-Conference honors in 2026 alone and the helped Bears to the ASUN semifinal game.Â
Prior to his move to Mercer, Collins served as the defensive coordinator at his alumna mater Limestone University during the 2023-25 seasons. In those three seasons, the Saints reached the NCAA Quarterfinals twice and made an appearance in the 2023 National Semifinal while holding a combined record of 49-10 in that time.Â
Collins helped produce five USILA All-Americans and 11 SAC All-Conference selections in his three seasons.Â
During his playing days, Collins helped lead Limestone to a 2017 Division II National Championship while also serving as the team captain in 2021 and 2022. He was named a USILA All-American twice in 2019 and 2022 as well as a 2020 USILA Academic All-American.Â
He earned his bachelor's degrees in business administration and sports business in 2020 from Limestone while also going on to earn his master's of management and leadership from Limestone in 2022. Â
