
Sherman Earns All-B1G Accolades

Magalotti receives sportsmanship award
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Lilli Sherman, a senior defender on the Ohio State women's lacrosse team, has been named Second Team All-Big Ten, the Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday. Senior midfielder Emily Magalotti was selected the winner of the B1G Sportsmanship Award for Ohio State.

This season, Sherman, from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., started all 15 games on defense and led the Buckeyes with 24 caused turnovers, ranking sixth among B1G players. She was second for Ohio State with 25 ground balls. Sherman scored her first career goal on her first career shot on Senior Day last Saturday. As a team, Ohio State ranks 15th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 9.47 goals per game. After playing just five games in her first two years as a Buckeye, Sherman saw action in 26 games over the last two years, with 24 starts, missing games only because of injury. She had 46 ground balls and 36 caused turnovers in her Buckeye career. Sherman is a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and has earned IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, Academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete laurels.

A Reading, Pa., native, Magalotti started all 15 games in 2025 and had nine points, with seven goals and two assists. She picked up 20 ground balls, had 35 draw controls and caused seven turnovers. Magalotti was second for the Buckeyes in draw controls and tied for third in ground balls. In her three years as a Buckeye, Magalotti played in all 49 games, with 48 starts. She had 17 goals, 19 points, 61 ground balls, 80 draw controls and 29 caused turnovers. She has earned Ohio State Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-Big Ten and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll accolades.
