COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State men's lacrosse team fell to No. 6 Maryland, 13-8, Saturday at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. The Buckeyes (11-2, 3-1 B1G) return to action next week for the 2025 regular season finale at No. 14 Michigan.
Saturday was a record-setting day at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium with a stadium record 2,854 fans in attendance for the top 10 conference match up against the Terrapins (9-2, 2-2 B1G).
Griffin Turner led the team with three goals on three assists. Ed Shean and Dillon Magee each scored twice. Cullen Brown caused three turnovers and Caleb Fyock made 11 saves in goal for the Buckeyes.
With the result, Ohio State's win streak ended at 11 games. The streak tied for the third-longest in program history.

How it Happened
- Maryland was first to score with a goal at 14:06 and Ohio State responded with two consecutive tallies from Greg Langermeier (11:21) and Ryan Donnery (8:05) to give the Buckeyes a 2-1 lead in the opening quarter.
- The Terrapins closed the first stanza with three straight goals to take a 4-2 advantage after 15 minutes of play.
- Ed Shean was first to score in the second quarter, but Maryland tallied five goals to close the half with the 9-3 lead.
- After the Terrapins scored twice to start the second half, Ohio State went on a four-goal scoring run from 4:26 in the third quarter to 11:26 in the fourth to bring the Buckeyes within four. Dillon Magee scored twice while Ed Shean added his second of the game and Ben Mayer scored to extend his point streak to five games.
- Maryland ended the Buckeyes' scoring run with a goal at 8:07 in the final quarter. Garrett Haas tallied Ohio State's final goal of game before the Terrapins scored on the open net to take the 13-8 win.
