Buckeyes Set to Compete at NCAA Midwest Regionals

Men and women headed to Granville, Ohio, Saturday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Members of the Ohio State men's and women's fencing teams are headed to Granville, Ohio, Saturday for the 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Denison in Mitchell Fieldhouse. Admission is free.

The women's events start at 9 a.m. and are slated to conclude about 12:30 p.m. The men's competition will begin at 1 p.m. and is scheduled to end about 4:30 p.m.

The Buckeyes will be joined in the event by fencers from host Denison, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Lawrence, Wayne State, Cleveland State and Detroit Mercy. Schools could qualify no more than four fencers per event for the regional competition.

This year, 23 Buckeyes – four each in men's and women's foil, men's and women's epee and men's sabre and three in women's sabre – will compete at the NCAA Midwest Regionals.

Of the Buckeyes competing at this year's NCAA Regionals, Weiss, Lee, Myroniuk and Vogler all were selected for the 2024 NCAA Championships. Feinberg won the NCAA championship as a freshman in 2022. Lee is a three-time NCAA qualifier (2022, 23, 24) and Myroniuk has competed at the last two championships. Williams earned an NCAA berth in 2022.

- The 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships will be held March 20-23 in University Park, Pa., hosted by Penn State.
- The athletes selected for the NCAA Championships will be announced on NCAA.com March 11.
- Qualification to the NCAA Championships is based on regular season results and NCAA regional finish. No more than two fencers per gender per weapon from a school may be selected.
- Each region is allocated a certain number of spots for the NCAA Championships, with 144 total competitors selected. This year, the Midwest Region has six NCAA allocations in men's epee, men's sabre and women's foil and five in men's foil, women's epee and women's sabre. All six weapons will also have two at-large spots.
