
Ohio State Lands 10 on CSC Academic All-District At-Large List

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ten Ohio State standouts have earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for at-large sports, CSC announced Tuesday.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 grade-point average at their current institution and must be in at least their second collegiate season.
The Buckeye honorees are Jocelyn Amos (women's hockey), Amelia Boes (rowing), Stanislaw Chacinski (men's volleyball), Chase Davenport-Mills (men's gymnastics), Katie Fichtner (field hockey), Paige Guggenbiller (rowing), Jacob Harmon (men's gymnastics), Solin Li (men's fencing), Parker Thackston (men's gymnastics) and Makenna Webster (field hockey).
Men's gymnastics led the way with three CSC Academic All-District honorees.
Parker Thackston wrapped up his degree in materials science and engineering this spring after a strong career with the Buckeyes. The Nissen Emery Award finalist earned two postseason All-American honors on pommel horse and earned regular season All-American honors on pommel horse each of the three seasons the honor existed. Thackston was named Big Ten Specialist of the Year this season after accumulating the highest pommel horse average in the country leading into the NCAA Championships. He's a three-time Big Ten pommel horse runner-up, three-time All-Big Ten Second Team honoree, six-time Big Ten Specialist of the Week, five-time CGA Specialist of the Week, four-time OSU Scholar Athlete and three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
Chase Davenport-Mills is pursuing his degree in air transportation. He made his return to competition in 2026 after sitting out in 2025 due to injury. Davenport-Mills' return saw him win a Big Ten Championship on floor, earn a spot on the All-Big Ten First Team and finish eighth on floor in the NCAA Championships to earn All-American status after doing the same as a freshman in 2024. He is a three-time OSU Scholar Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
Jacob Harmon earned his degree in exercise science this spring. He capped his collegiate career by finishing as the runner-up on floor at the 2026 Big Ten Championships and earning a spot on the All-Big Ten Second Team. He ranked in the top 15 in the country on both high bar and floor leading into this season's NCAA Championships. Harmon is a three-time OSU Scholar Athlete and three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
Field hockey and rowing each landed two athletes on the CSC Academic All-District list.
Katie Fichtner earned a degree in criminology and criminal justice. She played in all 18 of the Buckeyes' games in 2025 and started in 17. Fichtner was named to the All-Big Ten First Team and earned NFHCA Second Team All-West Region honors. In addition to being an OSU Scholar Athlete and an Academic All-Big Ten honoree, she was named to the NFHCA's National Academic Squad.
Makenna Webster was a standout for the Buckeyes; she led the Buckeyes in goals (19), assists (seven) and points (45). Webster was named an NFHCA Second Team All-American; it was her third straight season earning All-American honors. She was an NFHCA First Team All-West Region selection, as well as a First Team All-Big Ten honoree. Webster earned a graduate degree in kinesiology.
Men's foil fencer Solin Li, a spring graduate with a degree in physics, was a 2025 Honorable Mention All-American. A two-time NCAA qualifier, he claimed Central Collegiate Fencing Conference titles in 2023 and 2026 and was the conference silver medalist in 2025. Li was a three-time First Team All-CCFC honoree and earned Second Team All-Midwest Region accolades twice. He earned B1G Distinguished Scholar, USFCA All-Academic and Scholar of Distinction and Academic All-Big Ten honors during his career.
Amelia Boes earned a degree in sport industry. She placed third at the Big Ten Championships in 1v8 and helped Ohio State place third as a team at the NCAA Championships. Boes was a First Team All-Big Ten honoree and was an OSU Scholar Athlete.
Paige Guggenbiller placed third at the Big Ten Championships in 1v8 and helped the Buckeyes to a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She was a First Team All-Big Ten selection and an OSU Scholar Athlete. Guggenbiller is working on a degree in public health.
Jocelyn Amos, a forward on the women's hockey team, is pursuing a degree in health sciences. A captain of the 2025-26 team, Amos helped the program win its third WCHA Final Faceoff crown and make its fifth straight national title game appearance. The Second Team All-WCHA honoree led the Buckeyes with a career-high 539 faceoff wins and a .640 faceoff win percentage to rank the team first nationally in faceoff win percentage. Amos recorded 48 points in 37 games played with a career-best 26 assists and a team-high +50 on ice during her junior campaign. She was recognized with Academic All-Big Ten, WCHA All-Academic Team and WCHA Scholar-Athlete honors for her success in the classroom this year.
Outside hitter Stanislaw Chacinski is working towards a degree in geography. He hit .293 on the season and was second on the team in kills (264) and points (311.5). Chacinski was a Second Team All-MIVA selection.
