
Wynk Named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State baseball junior righty Blaine Wynk has been named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Wynk was dominant on the mound as the Buckeyes upset then-No. 10 Oregon, 8-6, on Saturday to ice a doubleheader sweep and series win.
Wynk fanned a career-high seven batters in 3.1 innings pitched and allowed just one run on two hits. It was Wynk's first victory of the season, improving his record to 1-1.
This is the first weekly Big Ten honor of Wynk's career.
Wynk has made four appearances on the mound this season, including three starts, and has struck out 13 in 8.0 innings pitched.
The Buckeyes are back in action on Tuesday, April 1 when they host West Virginia at 6:00 p.m.
