COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12-ranked Ohio State women's tennis team garnered a home victory, beating No. 24 UCLA, 4-1, Friday in the Ty Tucker Tennis Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Buckeyes are now 12-2 on the year, with a 6-1 Big Ten record. The Bruins are now 7-7 (2-3 B1G).
Ohio State clinched the doubles point in a neck-and-neck matchup against UCLA. After falling on court two, a court three victory from the duo of Nao Nishino and Audrey Spencer left the teams even with one match each. No. 15 Luciana Perry and Teah Chavez secured the doubles point after their victory on court one over the Bruins' No. 3-ranked tandem.
No. 8 Luciana Perry took the first singles win followed by No. 96 Audrey Spencer. After the Bruins gained a point on court four, the Buckeyes took the 4-1 victory with a court three win by No. 111 Sydni Ratliff.

- The No. 15-ranked duo Teah Chavez and Luciana Perry prevailed in a nail-biter on court one. The match went to a tiebreaker, where the Buckeyes took control and shut out the UCLA duo, 7-0, for a 7-6 match win to bring the Buckeyes to a 1-0 lead.
- To kick off singles, No. 8 Perry brought the score to 2-0 when she beat No. 78 Kimmi Hance 6-4, 6-2 on court two.
