COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 8/8 Ohio State women's basketball team (22-3, 11-3 B1G) travels to Indiana (16-9, 8-6 B1G) on Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on Peacock and AM1460.
- Ohio State earned its second consecutive overtime victory with an 86-78 decision in a Monday matinee against Iowa. This was the Buckeyes' second-straight overtime win. The Hawkeyes staged a second-half comeback to force overtime but the Buckeyes had the 12-4 scoring advantage in OT.
- OSU had two players with 25 or more points apiece for the first time since Jacy Sheldon/Cotie McMahon on Dec. 10, 2023 as Jaloni Cambridge scored a game-high 29 points and McMahon had 25. Kennedy Cambridge scored a career-high 16 points and was 5-of-6 from the floor. McMahon also tallied her 500th career rebound.
- On Monday, Ava Watson was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week and McMahon was named to the Big Ten weekly honor roll.
- Indiana enters the game with a 16-9 overall record and an 8-6 mark in conference play. The Hoosiers are 3-3 against ranked opponents this season, beating then No. 24 Stanford, No. 18 Baylor and No. 23 Iowa and losing to then No. 16 North Carolina, No. 1 UCLA and No. 4 USC.
- Additional B1G wins include Penn State, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Washington, Nebraska, Rutgers and Purdue. Additional Big Ten losses include Illinois, Oregon, Minnesota and Michigan.
- Indiana has four players averaging double figures this season - Yarden Garzon (13.9), Sydney Parrish (11.9), Shay Ciezki (10.6) and Karoline Striplin (10.1). Parrish leads the Hoosiers with 5.7 rebounds per game.
- Ohio State leads 58-26 in the all-time series with Indiana. The Buckeyes have the 21-17 advantage when facing the Hoosiers in Bloomington.
- The teams met only once last season when OSU claimed a 74-69 win in Columbus on Feb. 4, 2024. The game went back and forth as there were 13 lead changes and three ties during the game.
