Ohio State Hosts Northern Kentucky for Student Appreciation Night

The Buckeyes and Norse meet for the fourth time in series history on Thursday night.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 21/21 Ohio State women's basketball team (7-1, 1-0 B1G) hosts Northern Kentucky (3-8, 0-2 Horizon) on Thursday evening for student appreciation night. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET in a game broadcast on B1G+ and AM1460.

Free parking is available for all fans at every home game. Ohio State students get free admission with a valid BuckID. The first 500 Buckeye students will receive a free T-shirt and all Buckeye students present will be entered to win one of the quarterly giveaways. Â Â Â

- Ohio State beat Northwestern by a 79-70 margin on the road in Sunday's Big Ten opener. The Buckeyes trailed after the first quarter but used a 23-9 second quarter to take a lead that would not be relinquished.
- Kennedy Cambridge recorded her 100th career steal in the win as Kylee Kitts scored a career-high 18 points. Jaloni Cambridge earned her fourth 20-point game of the season with a team-high 22 points. T'yana Todd chipped in 13 points on 3-of-6 shooting from behind the arc.
- K. Cambridge is averaging a league-high 4.0 steals per game, a number that ranks in the top 10 nationally.
- J. Cambridge is one of five Big Ten players averaging 20 or more points per game this season as she leads the Buckeyes with 20.1 ppg.
- Northern Kentucky brings a 3-8 record to Columbus after falling in its first two Horizon League games this past week.
- This season, NKU has beaten Toledo, Drake and Southern Indiana and lost to Marshall, then No. 20 Louisville, Ball State, Butler, Chattanooga, Stetson, Green Bay and Robert Morris.
- Karina Bystry leads the Norse offense with 10.3 ppg as four different players average at least 8.0 ppg. Maddie Moody averages a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game and has a team-high nine blocks to her name.
- Ohio State leads 3-0 in the all-time series against Northern Kentucky. The Buckeyes have won both previous matchups in Columbus.
- The most recent meeting between the Buckeyes and the Norse took place in Columbus on Dec. 6, 2020 when Ohio State earned a 96-63 victory. This is the only prior matchup in the series that took place during the McGuff era and the first in 40 years.
