Ohio State Travels to Purdue for New Year’s Eve Matinee

The Buckeyes and Boilermakers will face off at 12:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday in a game broadcast on BTN.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19/19 Ohio State women's basketball team (11-2, 1-1 B1G) travels to Purdue (8-5, 0-2 B1G) for a New Year's Eve matinee. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET in a game broadcast on BTN and AM1460.

- Ohio State fell to No. 4 UCLA on Sunday by an 82-75 margin in a back-and-forth contest as the Buckeyes' comeback fell short.
- Jaloni Cambridge led all players with 28 points, her sixth 20-point performance of the season. T'yana Todd (season-high 16) and Elsa Lemmilä (13) also scored in double figures as Todd made a season-best four triples and Lemmilä shot 6-of-7 from the field.
- Purdue enters the 2025 finale with an 8-5 overall record and a 0-2 Big Ten record. The Boilermakers fell in their first two conference games to No. 6/8 Michigan (104-56) and RV/- Illinois (83-73).
- In the non-conference slate, Purdue earned wins this season against Fairleigh Dickinson, Eastern Illinois, Miami (OH), Howard, Evansville, Lipscomb, Dayton and Jackson State and have lost to Purdue Fort Wayne, No. 23 Kentucky and Central Michigan.
- Tara Daye leads Purdue with 12.2 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. Kiki Smith (11.7) and Hila Karsh (10.5) also average double figures.
- Ohio State leads 50-32 in the all-time series against Purdue and has the 20-16 advantage when facing the Boilermakers in West Lafayette.
- Last season, the Buckeyes earned their biggest win in the series by defeating the Boilermakers 98-46 in Columbus on Feb. 23. Five Buckeyes scored in double figures, including three returning to this season's roster - Chance Gray (21), Jaloni Cambridge (20) and Kennedy Cambridge (10).
- The Buckeyes won the most recent meeting in West Lafayette by a 71-68 margin on Jan. 28, 2024.
