COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 21/21 Ohio State women's basketball team (10-1, 1-0 B1G) bested Norfolk State (5-9) by a 79-45 margin on 614 Night.
Ohio State used a pair of 7-0 runs during the first quarter to build a 20-10 lead after one frame. The Buckeyes built a 43-21 advantage at halftime after outscoring the Spartans by a 23-11 margin in the second quarter. A back-and-forth third quarter saw the Buckeyes lead by a 62-38 mark going into the final frame. Ohio State's defense allowed only seven points in the fourth quarter as OSU wrapped up a 79-45 win.

- Q1: Norfolk State scored the first four points. J. Cambridge recorded the Buckeyes' first seven points as they had a 7-4 lead midway through the quarter. The Buckeye defense didn't allow a field goal for more than seven minutes during the frame as the offense used a pair of 7-0 runs to build a 14-6 lead. Ohio State led by a 20-10 margin after 10 minutes of play as Dasha Biriuk capped the quarter's scoring with a three-pointer.
- Q2: Kitts scored six points as a part of Ohio State's 10-4 run to open the second quarter. The Buckeyes extended their lead to 30-14 with 7:29 to play before halftime.
