COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19/21 Ohio State women's basketball team (11-1, 1-0 B1G) beat Western Michigan (3-7) on Monday evening by a 95-47 margin as a part of holiday hoops. The Buckeyes didn't trail during the contest.

Ohio State shot 65 percent from the floor in the first quarter as the Buckeyes built a 28-15 lead after 10 minutes. The Buckeyes had four in double figures in the first half as a 25-10 second quarter extended their lead to 53-25 going into the locker room. Ohio State used an 18-0 run during the third quarter to increase the lead to 77-34 after 30 minutes. The Buckeyes ended the game on an 11-2 run to cap scoring at 95-47.

Chance Gray was the first Buckeye to reach double figures, doing so early in the second quarter and finishing with 13 points. Elsa Lemmilä (season-high 15) J. Cambridge (14), Kitts (14) and Kennedy Cambridge (10) joined Gray in double figures. All 11 Buckeyes had at least two rebounds and four different Buckeyes had four or more assists apiece.

- Q1: Ohio State opened scoring with a pair of baskets from J. Cambridge and Kitts in the first 1:09 of the game. The Buckeyes used a 6-0 run to take a 13-5 lead midway through the quarter. Ohio State ended the quarter on a 13-3 run to lead by a 28-15 margin after 10 minutes of play. The Buckeyes shot 65 percent from the field in the frame.
- Q2: The Buckeyes strung together 13 unanswered points, holding the Broncos scoreless for more than five minutes, to increase the lead to 43-18 with 3:42 to play before halftime. Ohio State ended the first half with the final five points and a 53-25 lead.
