Pritchard is the fourth Buckeye to earn the award
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State senior goalkeeper Molly Pritchard was named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American for the 2025 season.
Pritchard is just the fourth Buckeye to earn the award, joining Kailyn Dudukovich in 2024, Lindsay Agnew in 2016 and Jen Miller in 2002. To be eligible for the award, a player must be of sophomore standing, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, have competed in 90 percent of the institution's matches and have earned All-District honors.
Pritchard had a tremendous season as she became just the second Buckeye goalkeeper to earn All-America status, joining Devon Kerr in 2018. Pritchard was the leader of the defense that had 11 shutouts this season as well as the program records for consecutive shutouts and the longest shutout streak. She made 78 saves this season and had a career-best 0.63 goals-against average. Pritchard is the program’s leader in career shutouts with 32 and is second in career saves with 306. She too earned first team All-Region and first team All-Big Ten honors this season as well as being named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year.
Pritchard was joined on the CSC Academic All-District team this fall by teammates Elle Britt, Ava Bramblett, Mirann Gacioch, Mia McSweeney and Amanda Schlueter.
