Ohio State Heads South for Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship

The Buckeyes will play on Monday and Wednesday in Nassau, Bahamas.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The RV/RV Ohio State women's basketball team (3-1) heads to Nassau for the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship before Thanksgiving. The Buckeyes are scheduled to play Belmont (3-2) on Monday at 11 a.m. in a game broadcast on FloCollege and AM1460.

The winner of the Ohio State vs. Belmont game will take on the winner of the No. 23/22 West Virginia (5-0) vs. McNeese (2-1) game on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The losers of these two games will play on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

- The Buckeyes defeated Kent State on Wednesday by an 88-68 margin.
- Ohio State's defense came alive with a season-high 18 steals and 29 forced turnovers, while the offense took care of the ball, finishing the game with 19 assists and eight turnovers.
- The Buckeyes had four score in double figures - Jaloni Cambridge (19), Chance Gray (18), T'yana Todd (15) and Kennedy Cambridge (10).
- Belmont owns a 3-2 record so far this season. The Bruins have beaten Brown, Dayton and Lipscomb and have only lost to ranked opponents (then No. 6/7 Oklahoma and No. 12/12 Tennessee).
- Two Bruins lead the offense by averaging double figures - Jailyn Banks (15.4 ppg) and Hilary Fuller (13.0).
- Head coach Bart Brooks was named to the preseason watch list for the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year award for the third-consecutive season.
- Belmont is the favorite to win the Missouri Valley Conference this season. Four Bruins were named to the MVC Preseason Players to Watch list - Tuti Jones, Avery Strickland, Emily La Chapell and Jailyn Banks.
- Ohio State leads 3-0 in the all-time series against Belmont with all three meetings happening during the McGuff era. This will be the first meeting between Ohio State and Belmont at a neutral site.
- This is the third time in three seasons that the Buckeyes and Bruins will face each other. Most recently, Ohio State traveled to Belmont for the first time, winning by a 67-63 margin on Nov. 17, 2024.
