
Buckeyes Beat Belmont in Bahamas Opener

Ohio State used a 20-8 fourth quarter to cap the victory in the tournament opener.
NASSAU, Bahamas – The RV/RV Ohio State women's basketball team (4-1) beat Belmont (3-3) by a 68-56 margin in its first game at the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship on Monday.
Belmont scored the final seven points in a first quarter that featured six lead changes and led by an 18-13 margin after 10 minutes. Ohio State got within one, 31-30, at halftime after a pair of Chance Gray three-pointers ended the frame. Belmont used a buzzer beater to tie the game at 48 to end the third quarter. Ohio State scored the first eight and final seven points of the final quarter to win by a 68-56 margin.
Jaloni Cambridge was the first in the game to reach double figures, doing so midway through the second quarter and finishing with a season-high 26 points. Gray's four triples in the first half led her to 17 total points. Kylee Kitts earned her first collegiate double-double with a career-high 12 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.
